Durn Spammers
R. Alex Whitlock
Last year I signed up for this job listing program. Never got anything out of it except a whole bunch of mail and my inclusion on a list that I can't get out of to save my life.
Then, about a month ago, I got an email saying "Your account will expire in one month. Please renew."
It was like the answer to a prayer.
"Your account will expire in two weeks. Please renew."
HOT DIGGITY!
"Your account will expire in one week. Please renew."
Heehee...
"Your account will expire in one day. Please renew."
[salivates in anticipation]
"Welcome to our service! We are a blah blah blah blah blah our weekly newsletter blah blah blah blah if you wish to unsubscribe, please send an email to GoToHell@CompanyName.com and we will get to it on our special Unsubscribe computer, which is located on the third ring of Hell and only seems to work in freezing weather.
Have a good day. Sucker."
Curses! Foiled again!

Comment spam is an ongoing problems that we're trying to address. Previously we required people to create accounts and log in. I am thankful to say that is no longer the case. We're giving Captcha another try and are playing around with a text-based Q&A variant of Captcha. So bear with us as we try to figure out how to best get a handle ont he problem. Please note that any comment on a post more than 30 days old will go into the moderation queue, where I will get to it when I can which could be once a week.
