It's a valid point. I think the largest problem is that the idea of "change" died pretty much when Gingrich (whatever his other faults) was pushed out of office; now, if you notice the rhetoric, it's not about what the Republicans want to do to make things better, but how bad it will be if the Democrats get power again.
