Observations
My ex is Australian. He used to say the Australians were more American than the Americans. I'd say he's not far off. And what about that hand up 'n fair go they gave the Aborigines?
Nuthin' but love for Australia. I had a pen pal down there for the longest time. That was when they were having the vote on whether to become a republic so I got that explained to me. Then I got to (try to) explain what in the world was going on in our 2000 elections.
The only thing I don't get about the Australians is how a country founded by merchants and convicts can have such an aversion to guns...
