Rear-Ended

I was rear-ended this evening. When I was hit, I motioned to pull off to the side when the light turned green and he acknowledged me. Except, of course, when I turned, he slammed on the gas and left me in the dust.
Minimal damage to the car. My neck is feeling pretty stiff, though.
Between the
break-in and this, I think this town is trying to hasten my exit.
Observations
Geez, Alex, that sucks. :( Ibuprofen and heat. And massage. Glad you're otherwise okay, though, and that the car is still functional.
Screw that "steer it/clear it" crap. You stop in the middle of traffic to make it hard to get away, hit 911 on that cell phone, and get that (uninsured?) effer's info before he can pull that shit!
Or, as a certain bass player might advocate, just send a couple of rounds his way to get his attention. :)
I sustained a pretty icky neck injury at the end of the school year last year (a kid in my class did me in - very long story) and my chiropractor said NO heat at first. Use ice to reduce swelling - heats gets the blood circulating to the area and if you are swollen, you don't need MORE blood to the area. Use ice; be sure to keep your neck movingng so you don't get stiff. Then, once the swelling goes down, alternate heat and ice. Then, you can just use heat. Right on the ibuprofen, though - helps with the swelling, too.

It was on Westheimer in Rush Hour traffic. Things were already bad enough. I was surprised that he actually had ROOM to floor it.

I'm actually feeling perfectly find today. I got the worst of it last night. Weird.
The first thing to think of when in an accident is not, "am I hurt? "
It's "what's their license plate number".
I tried to get their license plate number, though. The problem is that they were too close to me for me to be able to read it. When they hit the gas and kept on driving, I was watching where I was going because there was a car parked on the road I was turning in to.
I could have gotten out of the car when the accident first occured, but I'm not getting out of my car in the middle of rush hour traffic off Westheimer in Houston, TX.
