Observations
Not if you're a girl. Or, rather, the kind of girl (or guy) who likes feel-good girly movies. Guaranteed happy outcomes? Sappy stuff that's more pleasant (if not more interesting) than your life's likely to be? Stuff that makes you feel like you've helped people, even though all you've done is watch other people help people? Not boring; good cinema!
I have to side with Pete on this one with only a couple of exceptions: The Grinch Who Stole Christmas because (to me) it's almost as much about human nature as it is about the holidays, and the movie Scrooged, because it gets points for humor (at least I think it does, I haven't seen it in a long time).
