Cold, Colder, Coldest
R. Alex Whitlock
Cold: 50 degree weather. (Hey, I was raised in Houston. To us, 50 degrees is cold)
Colder: 50 degree weather with wind and rain (Like now, for instance)
Coldest: Driving for an hour and a half in 50 degree weather with cold winds and rain pouring through your open window. (Still no AC in the car, no defog, have to keep it open so I can see)

where is it that you are driving to/from?? It may be time to invest in something a bit more practical...seeing that you are moving to the midwest??? Call me crazy! Kevin's blog has introduced me to yours and you amuse me constantly! I will be so sad to see you go and get wrapped up in life's duties. Take care fellow bay side man!!

I seem to remember a time when you wouldn't even turn on the AC unless it was like over 100 or something insane like that....

Margo,
Welcome to the blog :). I need to get the AC fixed. I had my car broken in to several months ago and they took the radio, which disabled the AC. I've done fine without both for the most part, though now that it's getting as cold as it is the fog thing is a problem. Enough to get me off my kiester? Probably not. Though I *have* to get it taken care of before I head to Idaho. I hear there's this thing called "snow" up there.
I was actually headed down to Seabrook. I was there over Christmas and left a few essentials down there (such as work pants) so I had to make an emergency trip. Had I known the weather was so bad I probably would have postponed the trip.

Andrie,
Yep, that was the Crystler LaBaron with its spotty air conditioning. It wasn't so much a problem at the time because I barely knew different (my previous two cars didn't have AC anymore by the time I got them). The worst was the '78 Chevy Caprice. No FM radio, no AC, faux-leather seats and a metal car that insulated heat!
Now I'm pretty spoiled, though. If the AC had been disabled in the summer, it would have taken me all of two days to get it fixed. Luckily it got hit right about the same time that the weather turned cooler. So it hasn't been a problem until now. If Idaho were not in the picture I would definitely have it fixed before summer, though!

Yes, do get that thing fixed. . . I assure you that you do NOT want to be driving around in single-digit weather and the two feet of snow that have fallen since X-mas up here in Idaho. . .
